Emerging from Pittsburgh's vibrant DIY music scene, forty winks is forging a distinct path in contemporary rock. Combining intricate mathy riffs with sharp, zoomed production, they cultivate a dynamic and noisy sound that pushes the boundaries of modern guitar music.

In early 2024 the group formed quickly, meeting through other bands (sorry face), school (CMU), and mutual relationships. After practicing through the early months of the year, they went to Kyu's apartment and threw down what would be their first EP in a matter of hours. Since then they have played some of their first gigs around the city as they put the finishing touches on their debut release.
