"GOIN THRU IT" is the second release from sunstoney's upcoming album, set to release in late 2026. Written in the summer of 2025, during a stretch marked by relentless news of displacement, loss, and injustice unfolding overseas, the song grapples with the weight of watching it all happen and the uneasy awareness of the role our own government plays in it. That weight bled into the album-making process itself, leaving sunstoney questioning what it meant to make art that didn't reckon with the world around it, and "GOIN THRU IT" grew out of that exhaustion — a way of processing collective grief while still searching for a reason to keep creating.

The song is also shaped by the idea of joy as resistance, the belief that choosing to create, love, gather, and dream in the face of despair is its own refusal, a declaration that our humanity can't be erased. At its core, it's sunstoney's punk-spirited reminder that everyone is going through something, that community isn't just comfort but necessity, and that no one is free until we all are.
